At St. Agatha Catholic School, the Kindergarten through Eighth grade classes participate in tech class, during which students receive one-on-one and group instruction. Students practice developmentally appropriate skills directly connected to the Archdiocese of Portland’s Technology Guidelines. Classroom teachers often include technology experiences outside this scheduled class. Within our newly dedicated Father Slider Science & Technology Wing, students are exposed to multiple mediums of technology equipment, including but not limited to, scientific tools for discovery and research, a desktop PC lab, 3 mobile Chromebook laptop labs, a 3D Printer, a Sphero, a Little Bits modular circuitry kit, a mobile iPad lab, interactive LCD projectors and document projectors, as well as digital cameras and camcorders. Students are also exposed to multiple operating systems, communication tools, creative media and other educational software.
